We’ve spent years working in background screening and security vetting. Chexperts came from seeing the same problem again and again: good security teams trying to manage complex supply chains through processes that were never really designed for the job.
Our story
We thought there should be a simpler way
Chexperts was founded after more than 15 years working in background screening.
Over that time, we saw organisations invest heavily in the checks themselves, while the process around them was often still managed through email, spreadsheets, forms and manual follow-ups.
That becomes particularly difficult when clearance involves multiple subcontractors, projects, sites and security teams.
The problem was not simply how to run another background check. It was how to bring the whole process together.
That is what we started building Chexperts to do. Today, Chexperts gives organisations one controlled process for managing BPSS and clearance across their supply chain—while still allowing them to use existing screening providers where that makes sense.

Will Hoggarth
Founder/ CEO
Will has spent more than 15 years in background screening, working across operational, client and leadership roles and previously leading large screening operations. He started Chexperts because he believed complex screening and clearance processes could be made much simpler for the people managing them. Will also chairs the PBSA Europe & Africa Council. Outside work, he is learning to sail.
Adam Powers
Growth Director
Adam’s background spans SaaS, technology, IT projects and client-facing roles. He understands how well-designed technology can remove operational friction, but focuses first on what customers actually need rather than simply selling software. At Chexperts, he helps turn client challenges into practical ways of working. Outside the business, Adam is also an actor.
Kirsty Spittles
Operations Director
Kirsty brings extensive background-screening and service-delivery experience and has worked with Will for more than a decade. She joined Chexperts to help build a robust, customer-centred operation as the business grows. Her focus is making sure the process behind the technology is every bit as strong as the technology itself.
